Valor Investment: Seed (2022, lead) and Bridge to Series A (2025, lead)

Valor led Aetos’ seed round in 2022 because we believed the next major leap in industrial software would not come from better dashboards—it would come from better vision.
Operators responsible for the facilities that power the global economy—energy plants, chemical facilities, manufacturing sites—are asked to manage increasingly complex systems with tools that strip away context. Traditional EAM and CMMS systems reduce real-world environments into rows, fields, and work orders, forcing humans to mentally reconstruct reality before they can act.
Aetos flipped that model.
From the start, the team articulated a bold thesis: visualization itself is the interface. If you can see the facility as it actually exists—with assets labeled, data layered in, and context preserved—you fundamentally change how work gets done. We saw the potential for Aetos to define a new category: the Visual Maintenance Management System (VMMS).
Aetos is a 3D visualization platform that operationalizes an accurate digital twin of industrial facilities, giving teams a true bird’s-eye—and ground-level—view of their operations from anywhere in the world.
Aetos builds an immersive, navigable model of a facility where:
Assets are visually located, labeled, and contextualized
Operational data is integrated directly into the environment
Maintenance, training, safety, and collaboration happen inside the visual model—not across disconnected systems
Operators can identify issues faster, technicians can prepare before arriving on site, and teams can collaborate in real time with shared visual context—whether they’re across the room or across the globe.
Aetos serves enterprises that operate complex, asset-intensive facilities, including:
Energy and utilities
Chemicals and advanced materials
Manufacturing and industrial processing
Infrastructure-heavy commercial facilities
Customers use Aetos to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, accelerate training, enhance safety and compliance, and enable faster decision-making across distributed teams.
Since Valor’s investment, Aetos has attracted major enterprise customers including Chevron and Southern Company, validating both the urgency of the problem and the power of a visual-first solution.
The systems that power the modern world are becoming more complex, while the workforce maintaining them is under pressure—from labor shortages to rising safety and compliance demands.
Aetos matters because it:
Preserves context: Eliminates guesswork by anchoring data to physical reality
Accelerates action: Moves agile teams from issue detection to resolution faster
Improves safety: Enables site-specific training and visual SOPs
Scales expertise: Allows global collaboration with shared, real-world understanding
Redefines category boundaries: Goes beyond EAM and CMMS into a new visual operating layer
This is not about AR or VR as novelty. It’s about giving operators the clarity they need to keep critical infrastructure running.
Since leading Aetos’ seed round in 2022, Valor has continued to back the company through its next phase of growth. Valor led a bridge round into Aetos’ Series A. Then, in 2025, Aetos raised a $4M Series A led by Tech Square Ventures and Flyover Capital, with participation from Tandem Ventures, Jefferies, Engage, Atlanta Seed Company, and Valor.
Today, Aetos is in clear growth mode, building toward a future where visualization is foundational infrastructure.
Aetos reflects a core Valor belief: the most enduring software companies don’t just optimize workflows—they change how people see the world they operate in.
By giving operators a shared visual truth, Aetos is redefining how the facilities that power our economy are maintained, understood, and improved. We’re proud to have led the company early and to continue supporting the team as they build a new category at the intersection of industrial operations and visual intelligence.
